Best wings in Atlanta

The Bando
3050 M.L.K. Jr Dr SW Suite M | Atlanta, GA 30311

These wings are total social media phenomena. Their wings are on the smaller side and extra crispy, and their famous “crack” wings are dusted in powdered sugar and great if you have an extra sweet tooth. But for more classic flavors, they also deliver, and the fries go heavy on the seasoning and are fantastic as well.

The Wing Bar
494 Flat Shoals Ave SE, Atlanta, GA 30316
This spot in East Atlanta Village boasts something that sounds confusing at first, Vings. These vegan wings sell out almost every day and have become a craze in Atlanta. You know 2021 is crazy when we easily could list this CHICKEN wing spot on our list of restaurants for VEGGIE lovers.

Jack’s Pizza & Wings
676 Highland Ave NE | Atlanta, GA 30312

It can feel like Old Fourth Ward is all $18 cocktails these days, but for an unexpectedly affordable dive spot where the the beer is cold and the wings are great, head to Jack’s Pizza & Wings. With great vibes, pitcher deals, and well drinks, Jack’s Pizza & Wings is always a great time. Try the strawberry lemon pepper wing combo for a fun twist!

J.R. Cricket’s
Multiple Locations

We have to include this Atlanta institution in our list. J.R. Cricket’s first opened up shop in the ’80s and has been slinging wings ever since, really helping to . They make their blue cheese themselves and the wings are fresh, never frozen. And of course you’ve got to try their lemon pepper wet wings, made with a medium sauce and sprinkled with lemon pepper sprinkles.

Magic City
241 Forsyth St SW | Atlanta, GA 30303

Whether Lou Williams was looking for just wings at Magic City, we couldn’t tell you, but strip club wings are absolutely a thing here and Magic City has some phenomenal ones, with one Yelp reviewer even writing, “If I could fill a tub with Magic City Kitchen wings and climb in I absolutely would not hesitate to do so.” And yes, they are offering takeout at this time.

Urban Wings
2065 Defoors Ferry Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30318
Urban Wings on the edge of Underwood Hills takes its sauce options to the next level. There are over 25 different wing flavors on the menu, including a take on the American Chinese classic orange chicken, a flavor blend of bourbon and smoked chipotle, and Thai peanut. Heat levels range from mild to extra hot. People can also choose between ordering wings, chicken tenders, a sandwich, or panko shrimp. Grab a side of fried pickles, fried green beans, or jalapeno bites, too.

Tom, Dick & Hank
191 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd SW, Atlanta, GA 30312
Not even the Braves leaving Turner Field (now Center Parc Stadium, home to the Georgia State Panthers) has stopped the crowds from swinging by for smoked wings by the pound at Tom, Dick, & Hank. While the restaurant also prepares wings fried and tossed in dry barbecue rub, it’s the smoked wings that really took off here. The flavor goes deep to the bone of both the flats and mini drumsticks. While the restaurant is still one of the best places near downtown Atlanta to watch sports, it’s the wings that win every time.
