McDonald’s partnered with Complex Media (parent company of Complex Magazine) to produce a national DJ competition branded as “The Nation’s Ultimate Battle Of New Eats And New Beats Begin!”
In past years, the in-house teams at Complex Media and McDonald’s felt that the quality of DJ talent had been below average for past contests. The marketing team at Complex Media reached out to the Tomorrows to act as a cultural insiders and connectors for the recruitment process. Out main task was to identify, recruit, filter and procure superior and relevant DJ talent for the 2013 competition. The principal client (McDonalds) just wanted a good show… the direct client (Complex Media) wanted the best of the best young DJs in the country.
Despite some red tape form the client and various small obstacles, we identified an amazing batch of talented DJs and procured the best of the best to the satisfaction of the client.

UPDATE: After a few months of online battling among 12 DJs from around the country… the main event (broadcast live on www.FlavorBattle.com) was hosted by Funkmaster Flex with judges DJ Clue, Just Blaze, Spinderella and 2013 Flavor Battle champion, DeeJay Element. DJ R-Tistic, of Los Angeles, took home the $10,000 grand prize and major bragging rights during the 2014 McDonald’s Flavor Battle finale event.
